Campaign on weed control releases calendar
A CAMPAIGN to increase awareness on weeds and how to manage them properly now has its own calendar.
The 2025 North Coast No Space for Weeds calendar will be released with essential information and stunning visuals.
The calendar is also a guide to help identify and manage invasive plant species across the North Coast region.
It is designed to help landholders, gardeners and community members take proactive steps in managing invasive plants and protecting native biodiversity.
Each month features weed profiles and detailed information to help identify and control priority weeds.
It has seasonal advice on when to act for the best results with a rain chart on how to stay on top of weather trends.
The photography also aims to highlight the beauty of the region with images from events and shows.
The calendar was developed with input from across the region by the NSW Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, North Coast Local Land Services, Rous County Council and the NSW Weed Biocontrol Taskforce.
It also includes contributions from the Clarence Valley Council and land councils on the Mid North Coast.
The calendar can be picked up for free at any Local Land Services office, Rous County Council and selected agricultural stores and public libraries across the region.
