Family Fun Day in Kunghur
LOCALS and visitors are invited to a Family Fun Day at Kunghur Hall on Sunday, November 24.
Tweed Shire Council is hosting the free event as part of the Council’s plans to help build community connections and better activate the public facilities of the hall.
Located between Nimbin and Murwillumbah, the village of Kunghur was established in 1913. The hall was opened in 1915 to hold community events, including balls, dances, and weddings. The hall sits in the heart of the village, and the surroundings offer a bucolic setting for a day of community celebrations.
Lawn games and a free sausage sizzle with vegetarian options will be available.
Activities include a jumping castle, face painting, jewellery-making workshops, and kids’ story time sessions.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket to the Cooloon Street, Kunghur free event from 11 am to 2 pm.
