LISMORE City Council has launched a new web page, designed to inform the public about upcoming road projects and to help identify safety and design concerns prior to construction. It is a new approach by the council, offering the chance for the public to provide feedback on the road works before finalising the design and methods for construction. As part of that process, the council has listed upcoming projects on the Lismore Roads Design Program page of its website for public consideration. It asks the public for feedback to understand any current safety, drainage and environmental concerns at these locations. The listed projects do not currently have a scheduled timeframe for upgrade or rehabilitation, and before construction, nearby residents who may be impacted will receive a written notification. The listed projects include streets in Lismore, as well as Caniaba Rd, Coraki Rd, Corndale Rd, Dunoon Rd, Lindendale Rd, Rous Rd, The Channon Rd, and Tregeagle Rd. The public can also contact the council with concerns about roads not listed. The upgrade and rehabilitation of roads within the Lismore Local Government Area is also being undertaken as part of the road maintenance schedule, as Flood Restoration Projects, and other funding streams. Go to yoursay.lismore.nsw.gov.au for a complete list and to provide feedback.
