Industry experts explore AI’s impact at Byron summit
AN ALL-STAR panel of industry and local leaders will explore the profound impact of artificial intelligence, technology and innovation on business and society in Byron Bay on Thursday, September 26.
The AI Tech & Innovation Summit presented by Business NSW (BNSW) will feature speakers, panel discussions, and critical conversations led by MC and keynote speaker, the comedian and much-loved science geek Adam Spencer.
Spencer and BNSW Northern Rivers Regional Director Jane Laverty will curate critical conversations around harnessing the powers of AI and technology to ensure the region continues to thrive.
The event will explore key themes of productivity, data-driven decision-making, innovation and new business models, workforce transformation, competitive advantage and ethics.
Former senior NSW government Minister and Service Gen co-founder Victor Dominello will deliver ‘Navigating the chaos of change’. Dr Jill Freyne, former CSIRO deputy chief scientist, will speak about ‘Curating innovation to ensure it is of the highest quality and directly targeted to specific needs’.
Microsoft’s Brent O’Toole will discuss “The Age of AI – Copilots for all”, and Deloitte’s director of strategy and AI Enabled Transformation Jim Crisp will discuss “Leveraging digital, data and AI, and redesigning how work is delivered”.
An innovation panel, including Chris Jewel from Zepto, David Trewern of Fliteboard, and Genevieve Kelly from Butterfly.io, High-vis and formerly at Google, will discuss the industry’s embrace of new economic technologies.
Tickets include a Mediterranean banquet lunch and networking drinks at Elements of Byron. Ticket sales will close on Sunday, September 22.
