A NEW retail precinct has opened at Lennox Head as part of the $250 million Epiq Marketplace development, adding eight new business tenancies to the expanding commercial hub.

Property developer and funds manager Clarence Property marked the completion of the latest stage earlier this week.

The building, constructed by local contractor Bennett Constructions, comprises eight tenancies across a combined floor space of about 720 square metres.

Clarence Property CEO Simon Kennedy said the expansion would build on the centre’s role within the community.

“Epiq Marketplace has evolved into a central meeting place for the Lennox Head community,” he said.

“With this expansion, we not only bolster the variety of retail options but also introduce additional service offerings and convenience at the centre.

“This development directly caters to the pressing need for modern, strategically located business premises that drive local employment, services, and investment.”

The broader Epiq master plan includes around 450 residences, sporting fields, a childcare centre and a neighbourhood shopping centre.

Anchor tenants including Woolworths, BWS and Chempro are already operating at the site, with the latest stage expected to create additional opportunities for retail and office businesses.

“This next stage will further strengthen the retail offering within Epiq, providing more opportunities for local businesses and services to thrive in a high-traffic location that benefits from Lennox Head’s growing population and tourism appeal,” Kennedy said.

Stage one of the Epiq Terrace Houses development is underway and is expected to be completed later this year as work begins on stage two.

Construction has also commenced on the relocation of Lennox Head Public School, forming part of the wider growth of the precinct.
