BALLINA will host a three-day pickleball tournament from August 1 to 3, drawing 242 players from across Australia.

The Northern Rivers Regional Rally will be held at the Ballina Indoor Sports Centre on Cherry Street.

Players aged 20 to over 75 will compete across Skinny Singles, Gender Doubles and Mixed Doubles events.

The tournament sold out within an hour of registration opening, which organisers say shows the sport’s growing popularity in regional areas.

“This tournament highlights the incredible momentum behind pickleball growth worldwide, including in regional Australia,” Northern Rivers Pickleball Club president Steve Bergan said.

“It’s not just about competition, it’s about connection, inclusion, and having a great time together.”

Spectators can attend for free across all three days.

The event will be live-streamed on YouTube with expert commentary by Dylan Kimlin Commentary and Broadcasts.
