A UNIQUE show which blends cabaret and circus acrobatics has landed at Lismore with performances at the showground.
The Scandalous Cabaret Circus has already attracted big numbers with a mixture of trapeze, dance, acrobatics, comedy, and theatre.
Event organiser Troy Smith said it is a wild night and an experience most people would not have seen before.
“It is a little risqué with elements of Moulin Rouge mixed in with grunge cabaret,” he said.
“The idea of Scandalous was to mimic what goes on behind the scenes at the circus and turn it into an entertainment show.
“It’s also a show that empowers women and they’ve played a big part in shaping how it works.

“All our performers work hard and have put together a polished show.
“The cast are mainly young, but they have done a lot of training to get to where they are today.”
The Scandalous show is currently on a regional tour and has performed in sold-out shows across NSW and Queensland.
The idea came from the Hudson Circus with its owners Shane and Nancy Lennon having years of experience in the industry.
“A new cast has been part of the program this year with the show run under a specially built big top,” Smith said.
“It’s been really popular since we started it a year ago, particularly now we’re doing regional tours.

“It’s definitely ideal for a date night or if you want to go with a group of friends.”
There will be a bar and hot food available with people encouraged to arrive one hour before the show.
Shows will be held on Friday, May 16 and Saturday, May 17.
They have a break before another four nights of shows starting from Wednesday, May 21.
Tickets need to be purchased online at scandalous.com.au.
The show runs for 90 minutes and is for over-18s.
