THE Wellness Summit 2024 is set to bring together leaders in the spa, wellness, and wellness tourism industries for a two-day event at Crystalbrook Byron this October.

The summit aims to unite the spa and wellness community, featuring networking opportunities, demonstrations, and interactive panels.

Founder of Spa & Wellness Kris Abbey shared the summit’s vision.

“We want to connect, collaborate, and celebrate within the industry,” she said.

The global wellness market is valued at $1.8 trillion in 2024.

A recent McKinsey & Company survey revealed that 82 percent of US consumers consider wellness a top priority, with similar sentiments in the UK and China.

The event will cover six pillars of wellness and offer immersive experiences before, during, and after the summit.

“These experiences include multi-sensory therapies, showcasing new products and technology, and panels on business, biohacking, and sustainability,” Abbey said.

TED Talk-style presentations from industry leaders will provide insights and inspiration.

Exhibitors will introduce brands through immersive experiences, allowing attendees to engage with the latest innovations.

The summit will conclude with the 2024 Asia Pacific Spa & Wellness Awards, celebrating the best in the industry.

Award categories include best skincare, best wellness product, and best wellness retreat.

The awards also recognise individual excellence with titles such as Industry Champion and Wellness Warrior of the Year.

Last year’s summit, held at the Mornington Peninsula, saw a significant turnout and energised the industry with its innovative approach and valuable networking opportunities.

“Any business in the spa, beauty, wellness products, or wellness tourism sectors should consider entering,” Abbey said.

“The process itself makes you reflect on your business, and every entrant receives valuable feedback from expert judges.”

Award nominations are open until 21 August, offering businesses a chance to gain recognition and prestige.

The summit will also offer pre and post-event tours, giving delegates the opportunity to explore Byron Bay and enjoy local experiences.

The Byron Bay Blackbook will return, offering delegates quintessential Byron Bay experiences as part of their registration fee.

“We have everything from unique breathwork workshops to biological age assessments,” Abbey said.

“Delegates can immerse themselves in various therapies and treatments, experiencing firsthand the innovations in the wellness industry.”

In addition to the event, the Wellness Summit will feature a Spa & Wellness Awards Night, concluding the two-day summit with live music, good food, and celebration under the stars in Byron Bay.
