After learning to heal herself following a bout of depression and anxiety, Emma Dunwoody is hoping to help others with her new book.<\/p>\n
The Byron Bay woman wrote Human Design Made Simple to aid people in finding their purpose in life and enjoy the success they’ve always dreamed of simply by being themselves.<\/p>\n
Dunwoody worked in advertising early in her career but found herself completely burnt out and lost by the time she turned 25.<\/p>\n
“I was diagnosed with depression and a panic disorder and told I would never heal it, only learn to manage it,” she said.<\/p>\n
“I refused to accept that reality and instead went on a journey to heal my mental health and rewire my brain.”<\/p>\n
She discovered the new age practice of human design, which is a synthesis of the ancient wisdoms of the Kabbalistic tree of life, western astrology, the Chinese I Ching and Hindu Chakra systems.<\/p>\n
“It gives you a map into you, your greatest potential, how to access it and your greatest challenges,” she said.<\/p>\n
“It gives you insight into what your soul is here to bring to the world by living a fully aligned life.”<\/p>\n
Dunwoody, who now works in performance coaching, behaviour change and executive coaching, also hosts a podcast on the topic, so a book was the natural next step.<\/p>\n
“My mission is to make human design as simple and accessible as possible, and to bring it out of the ‘woo woo’ shadows and into the mainstream narrative, where it can and will be accepted as common knowledge and a practical tool for success, abundance, purpose, relationships and so much more,” she said.<\/p>\n
“I wrote this book for anyone who desires a life of freedom and authenticity, so they can understand themselves on the deepest possible level and live the life they came here to live.”<\/p>\n
Emma Dunwoody is launching Human Design Made Simple at The Book Room in Byron Bay at 6pm on Thursday, September 5.<\/p>\n
