CANTERBURY Bankstown Bulldogs’ winger, Josh Addo-Carr is in talks with multiple NRL clubs; Michelle Bishop and Joel Caine gave their predictions for where he could end up.<\/p>\n
Despite Addo-Carr’s Bulldogs contract still in effect until 2025, the panel believe there is no chance of seeing him play another game for Canterbury.<\/p>\n
“I definitely don’t see him staying at the Dogs,” Bishop said on SEN The Run Home.<\/p>\n
The panel discuss complexities of the deal, from a club and player perspective, expressing uncertainty in Addo-Carr’s future, especially given the salary cut he will likely face.<\/p>\n
“It might be a bit more complex than we see,” Bishop added.<\/p>\n
“He is going to have to take a cut wherever he goes.”<\/p>\n
Caine threw out his bold prediction for Addo-Carr to take Gutherson’s expected spot at the Dragons.<\/p>\n
“I’m going to say get him out of the city. I’m saying Gutherson will not be at the Dragons, I think the Foxx will be at the Dragons,” Caine said.<\/p>\n
Bishop disagreed, placing her bet on Parramatta.<\/p>\n
Head coach, Jason Ryles overlapped with Addo-Carr for three years at the Storm which she expects could be crucial in this decision as there is an existing relationship there.<\/p>\n
With the Penrith Panthers having a vacant spot on the wing after the deparutre of Sunia Turuva, Addo-Carr’s name was floated as a possible target for the Premiers on a one-year deal.<\/p>\n
Bishop and Caine suggest the Panthers strategy is rarely reliant on “hefty wingers” so see this as unlikely, however suggest a one-year stint to bring Addo-Carr back to his best could be beneficial.<\/p>\n
