A month after Neil Armstrong took the famous step, the Woodstock festival championed peace and love, and the Beatles recorded their last album, Abbey Road.<\/p>\n<p>Flower power was on its last legs, and The Rolling Stones&#8217; infamously violent Altamont concert with security provided by the Hell&#8217;s Angels capped off a turbulent year.<\/p>\n<p>The year was also a watershed for cinema with films like Easy Rider, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Wild Bunch, and Midnight Cowboy \u2013 the only X-rated film ever to win best picture. The movies broke new ground and were the first products of the new generation of filmmakers.<\/p>\n<p>With a set list of legendary songs and vivid screen projections, the Honey Sliders bring the sights and sounds of &#8217;69 to life.<\/p>\n<p>In a nine-piece band, Danny Widdicombe, Dan Mansfield, Bos Borley and Ben Carstens meticulously re-create the songs that touched and remain in the hearts of so many, then and for generations thereafter.<\/p>\n<p>Don the &#8217;60s glad rags and boogie to The Beatles, The Stones, Bob Dylan, Canned Heat, David Bowie, The Band, Jimi Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, The Doors, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Who, Sly and the Family Stone and so many more voices of the era.<\/p>\n<p>Venue doors and bar open at 7pm for an 8pm show.
