{"id":103595,"date":"2024-12-13T13:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-12-13T02:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/lismoretimes\/?p=103595"},"modified":"2024-12-13T11:49:35","modified_gmt":"2024-12-13T00:49:35","slug":"dinosaur-art-exhibition-opens-in-tweed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/lismoretimes\/news\/dinosaur-art-exhibition-opens-in-tweed\/","title":{"rendered":"Dinosaur art exhibition opens in Tweed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THE Tweed Regional Museum opened its newest exhibition last week, exploring the Cretaceous Age with an innovative fusion of science and art.<\/p>\n<p>A dynamic playground for creativity and history, How to Draw a Dinosaur brings the past alive in vivid detail.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition features work from internationally acclaimed artists, including graphic street artist Phoebe Paradise, inflatable sculptor Matthew Aberline, and multidisciplinary artist Chayne Hultgren.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2024\/12\/image000084_82497.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"900\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Council and museum staff join in the fun and games. Photo: DAVID COPE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Striking illustrations by world-renowned paleoartists Dr Lida Xing and Andy Frazer are included, as are works by local sculptor Christine Mellor and painter Michael Stiegler.<\/p>\n<p>Projection artist Craig Walsh created a life-size prehistoric projection work inside the museum and an outdoor projection installation, viewable in the Tweed River from the Murwillumbah Bridge every evening from late January.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2024\/12\/image000018_82540.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"900\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Immersive wonders for all ages. Photo: DAVID COPE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Real fossils on loan from national institutions provide context and an authentic glimpse into how dinosaurs have been reimagined over time through science and pop culture.<\/p>\n<p>The museum&#8217;s immersive digital Rainbow Room will host immersive digital experiences.
