{"id":110436,"date":"2025-10-08T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-10-07T17:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/lismoretimes\/?p=110436"},"modified":"2025-10-01T20:45:24","modified_gmt":"2025-10-01T10:45:24","slug":"more-awards-for-resilient-kids","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/lismoretimes\/news\/more-awards-for-resilient-kids\/","title":{"rendered":"More awards for Resilient Kids"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>RESILIENT Kids has won the Early Intervention and Prevention Award at the Wayahead 2025 Mental Health Matters Awards.<\/p>\n<p>The honour follows its win in the Mental Health and Wellbeing category at the Resilient Australia Awards last month.<\/p>\n<p>The Wayahead award recognises outstanding programs that prioritise prevention and early intervention for young people.<\/p>\n<p>Funded by Healthy North Coast, the Resilient Kids program has reached 8,804 young people and 1,151 caregivers since launching in mid-2022.<\/p>\n<p>Healthy North Coast CEO Monika Wheeler said the award was a tribute to the young people of the Northern Rivers.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Their voices shaped Resilient Kids, ensuring it was designed with them and for them,&#8221; Wheeler said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are proud to see Resilient Kids recognised as a leading model of early intervention and resilience-building for young people.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Social Futures program manager Shoshannah Oks said it was a recognition of the courage and strength of the young people they worked with every day.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Resilient Kids is built around their voices and experiences, giving them tools to navigate difficult times, but also the confidence to thrive,&#8221; Oks said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I want to thank our funders, dedicated team and partners, the communities and families that welcomed and supported the service, and most importantly, the children and young people of the Northern Rivers, who inspire us daily with their resilience and hope.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Wayahead CEO Sharon Grocott said all the finalists were to be commended for their commitment.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our theme for Mental Health Month this year is Taking Steps on Your Wellbeing Journey,&#8221; Grocott said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;These winners are passionate about supporting their communities to do just that.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>For more information, visit <a href=\"http:\/\/socialfutures.org.au\/service\/resilient-kids\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">socialfutures.org.au\/service\/resilient-kids<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RESILIENT Kids has won the Early Intervention and Prevention Award at the Wayahead 2025 Mental Health Matters Awards.
