He will be supported by Byron local and fellow blues legend Ash Grunwald.<\/p>\n<p>The Hard Road 2026 Tour celebrates the release of Ingram&#8217;s latest album of the same name, a powerful fusion of blues, rock, funk, R&amp;B and soul.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_118016\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-118016\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-118016\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2025\/10\/BluesguitaristChrist_72377.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"900\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-118016\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Christone \u201cKingfish\u201d Ingram is set to return to Byron Bay on February 26. Photo: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Born and raised in Clarksdale, Mississippi, Ingram grew up singing and playing gospel in church and developed an early love for blues after watching a documentary about Muddy Waters \u2014 widely considered the father of modern Chicago blues \u2014 with his dad at the age of five.<\/p>\n<p>He was later inspired by artists such as B.B. His follow-up album, 662, won both a Grammy Award and a Blues Music Award for Best Contemporary Blues Album in 2021.
