The track is suitable to host national qualifier events and features the Vorld Timing System.<\/p>\n
The interactive timing technology allows riders to track time and count laps using their smartphones.<\/p>\n
Council partnered with Boyds Bay Group and specialist pump track builders Velo Solutions, with the project taking six months to complete.<\/p>\n
A pump track is a specially designed circuit for bikes where riders maintain momentum by using a pumping motion rather than pedalling or pushing.<\/p>\n
“Facilities like this help young riders on the North Coast build confidence, stay active and feel connected,” NSW Member for Lismore Janelle Saffin said.<\/p>\n
“By supporting regional projects such as this pump track, we’re backing grassroots participation and the growth of cycling and BMX at a competition level.”<\/p>\n
