{"id":113405,"date":"2026-02-17T12:07:32","date_gmt":"2026-02-17T01:07:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/lismoretimes\/news\/australias-biggest-regional-music-festival-is-coming-to-lismore\/"},"modified":"2026-02-17T12:14:20","modified_gmt":"2026-02-17T01:14:20","slug":"australias-biggest-regional-music-festival-is-coming-to-lismore","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/lismoretimes\/news\/australias-biggest-regional-music-festival-is-coming-to-lismore\/","title":{"rendered":"Australia\u2019s biggest regional music festival is coming to Lismore"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LISMORE is set to host one of Australia\u2019s biggest live music festivals, Groovin The Moo, when it returns in 2026 for a one-off show at Oakes Oval.<\/p>\n<p>The festival will run as a one-day, single-stage event on May 9 after two years of cancellations.<\/p>\n<p>Lismore was selected as the host city for its creative identity and cultural significance in the Northern Rivers, as well as the resilience the region has shown in recent years following major floods.<\/p>\n<p>The event will be presented by Great Southern Nights with support from the state government through Destination NSW and in partnership with the Australian Recording Industry Association.<\/p>\n<p>Adelle Robinson, CEO of festival operator Fuzzy, said the return honoured the show\u2019s regional roots.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe festival belongs to regional Australia.
