DeBono previously founded and directed Hello Sailor Vintage Fair, a travelling fashion and lifestyle market held across Melbourne venues and festivals.<\/p>\n
She has more than 25 years’ experience and previously co-owned Miss Brown Vintage in Byron Bay.<\/p>\n
The Ballina fair reflects growing interest in sustainable fashion and second-hand clothing, with organisers encouraging shoppers to invest in pre-loved and ethically produced items.<\/p>\n
Local stallholder and vintage collector Mel Watson, owner of Two Roads Vintage in Newrybar, said the events support independent creatives.<\/p>\n
“My collection spans from the 1940s to the 1990s, with the 1970s being my main flavour,” she said.<\/p>\n
“It’s important to support local and keep unique businesses in the region.<\/p>\n
“These events give people access to something different.”<\/p>\n
