WHEN Iesha Williams first read the script for A Chorus Line during a school holiday camp as a teenager, she felt an immediate connection to the characters.<\/p>\n
“I had felt what they had felt when going through an audition process myself,” she said.<\/p>\n
Now, nearly two decades later, she is thrilled to be directing the iconic musical for an upcoming production at Ballina Players Theatre.<\/p>\n
“The thing I love the most about this show is the way in which it builds from start to finish showcasing to the audience how total individuals can come together completely as one no matter how, why or where they came from,” she said. “This is a lot like theatre in real life. No matter where we come from, what we have done and what we do outside the theatre walls, we have all come together with a common interest and goal to achieve. This show captures this aspect of our theatre world beautifully.”<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The production features 22 cast members, including eight pit singers (offstage vocalists), supported by a production team of eight and a crew of six.<\/p>\n “Unlike most shows, no character is more relevant or has more stage time than the person standing next to them,” Williams said. “They have all come together to prove themselves and are hoping to be hired for [the character] Zach’s next show.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2026\/06\/BallinaPlayersdirect_65848.jpg\")
