Bendigo Annual Artisans Fibre Fair: 18-20 July

July 4, 2025 BY

THE Bendigo Artisans Annual Fibre Fair is one of Bendigo’s best kept event secrets.

The festival was first established 12 years ago. The objective of the Fibre Fair is to showcase a range of textile artists and their diverse range of handmade creations.

Crafts include spinning, weaving, knitting, crochet, angora rabbit breeder who produces fibre and yarn, socks created on an antique circular sock knitting machine, hand dyed gradient wool and silk yarns, Australian cotton sliver and lint, producers of superfine and ultra fine merino, makers of support and drop spindles, suppliers of possum-merino and other natural coloured yarn and top. Knitted, crocheted and woven garments are for sale and plenty of original patterns and kits to inspire you.

Whilst complimentary to the Sheep and Wool Show and the Bendigo Woollen Mills, The Bendigo Artisans Annual Fibre Fair is a small, independent event held at the North Bendigo Bowling Club.

The festival is in its 12th year and draws people from Victoria and interstate. Newcomers to textiles through to experienced crafters are catered for in a warm and relaxed space.

Lovely home cooked food, tea, coffee, toilets and somewhere to sit, helps visitors relax and enjoy. Lots of parking, easy access and $2 coin entry add to the appeal.

Whether you enjoy your own textile passions or appreciate quality, handmade designs, the Bendigo Artisans Annual Fibre Fair has something for everyone.
