Celebration of Music, Community and Culture at Maldon Folk Festival 2025
THIS Melbourne Cup Weekend, the historic township of Maldon will once again come alive with the sounds of folk, Celtic, bluegrass, jazz and blues as it hosts the 50th Maldon Folk Festival, running from Friday 31 October to Monday 3 November 2025.
Since its humble beginnings in 1974, the festival has grown into one of Australia’s most beloved regional music events, drawing performers and audiences from across the country.
This year’s milestone celebration promises to be unforgettable, featuring a star-studded lineup including Eric Bogle, The Bushwackers, Gina Jeffreys, Rod McCormack, Greg Champion, The Fiddle Chicks, and many more.

From seasoned legends to emerging talents, the program reflects the rich diversity and enduring spirit of folk music.
Festival-goers can enjoy performances across multiple venues, all within walking distance, alongside interactive workshops, dance sessions, and the ever-popular Folkie Steam Train experience.
Families are especially welcome, with children under 12 admitted free and a variety of kid-friendly activities on offer.
Beyond the music, the festival honours its roots with the Roddy Read Songwriting Award and the Instrument Makers Exhibition, showcasing local craftsmanship and creativity.

Set against the backdrop of Maldon’s National Trust-classified streetscapes, the festival is more than an event, it’s a celebration of community, tradition, and the power of song.
As we mark 50 years of harmony, storytelling and connection, join us in making this golden anniversary one to remember.
Tickets are available now via maldonfolkfestival.com with early bird discounts on offer to 30th October. Come for the music, stay for the magic.
