Lost Trades Fair relocating to Macedon Ranges
LOST Trades will move back to the region where it all started back in 2014, relocating back to the Macedon Ranges.
The event will be held at Hanging Rock Reserve on 28 and 29 March 2026 and promises a weekend inspired by nature and human talent.
“Hanging Rock is one of the most iconic sites in the state and it is very exciting to be able to bring our artisans – the rock stars of traditional and heritage trades – together at such a magical site to share their skills, trades, talent, stories, culture, knowledge and celebrate the enduring pursuit of hand-made with the very finest levels of human craftsmanship on display,” say organisers.

Lost Trades Fair has been supporting, promoting and showcasing artisans and makers practising heritage trades and traditional skills at an event that inspires audiences with creativity, artisan talks and all day demonstrations. A celebration of skill, knowledge, craftsmanship and human talent.
Lost Trades will inspire visitors of all ages. The ticket price includes parking and full entry to Hanging Rock, so there is time to climb the rock, explore, watch live demonstrations, have a go at many of the trades or just bring a picnic, relax and take in all that the weekend offers.

The Lost Trades Fair is set to deliver an unmatched experience to thousands of visitors from across Australia and around the world in what is a magical location.
The fair will showcase more than 150 artisans from across Australia and ten international guest artisans, including artisans from Britain, Sweden and America who will share skills across woodwork, metal, print, paper, gold and textiles; many will run workshops in the region before and after the event.
