40th Militaria and Collectables Show moves to an exciting new venue!

THE Golden City Collectors Assoc. are excited to be holding their 40th Annual Militaria and Collectables Show in the Regional Events Complex Exhibition Centre at the Prince of Wales Showgrounds on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 August.

Traders will have wares ranging from books, medals, military uniforms, sporting goods, hunting, fishing, and shooting related items, custom made knives, battlefield relics, 3D battle art, antique and modern firearms, toy trains and soldiers, model kits, jewellery and various curios.

A feature this year will be a fabulous extensive display of Victoria Cross memorabilia honouring the individuals who sacrificed their lives in extraordinary acts of bravery during all wars.

Clever artist Kerri Neven from ‘The Drawn Gun’ (pun intended) will begin a pencil drawing of someone’s favourite antique firearm at the beginning of the show and have it finished before the show is over.

The Blue & Grey Civil War Group & the Shenandoah Crew with their historic Naval display will be attending for the 20th year! Members of the Australian Great War Association are attending for the first time, and the Bendigo Modellers Guild will have some of their wonderful creations on show.

There will be a Teddy Bear display with a life size Teddy Bear who is very photogenic and happy to pose with admirers.

The Sugar Bomb Coffee Van and Shelley’s Snack Shack will be there to feed the hungry hoards.

On the Sunday we’ll be sharing the Showgrounds with the Sunday Market and a Circus, so people visiting either of those, might like to check out our show.

Family admission is $15, Adult $10 and Concession $8. The show will be open from 9am until 5pm on Saturday and 9am until 3pm on the Sunday.
