A chance for Pyalong people to connect

PYALONG past and present community members are invited to meet and reconnect at the Pyalong Community Catch Up day.
The event will be held on Saturday 12 April.
“A member of our committee was approached by a community member saying they had lost touch with most of the community,” said Charleen Warburton, president of the Pyalong Recreation Reserve Committee of Management.
“The idea of a community day bringing past and present community members together to reconnect or be welcomed was posed.
“The Committee thought it was a great idea and got to work.
“We are hoping to make this an annual event and something our community can look forward to.
“In the past there were similar events but none in recent times.”
There will be free activities for all ages, including face painting, laser tag, an inflatable slide and sausage sizzle.
Soft drinks will be available for purchase or attendees can bring their own.
Visitors are encouraged to bring along old or new memories of Pyalong; historical photos and memorabilia, which will be displayed in the hall.
“We’re excited to see what memorabilia or memories of Pyalong our attendees will bring to share with the community,” said Ms Warburton.
The community catch up will be held at the Pyalong Recreation Reserve, starting at 12noon.
