A coffee on the cops
LED by officer-in-charge at Heathcote Police station Sergeant Holly Lembke, residents joined local police officers for coffee and a chat at Barrack Reserve last week.
The annual Coffee with a Cop event provides an opportunity for locals to get to know members of the police force and share any concerns they have.
Sergeant Lembke is passionate about keeping the community safe and welcomed the chance to talk with residents.
“I was very pleased to see and chat with everyone who attended,” said Sergeant Lembke.
“Coffee with a Cop allows residents to get to know local police officers and in turn, we can learn about what is important to residents.
“Together we can work towards making our community safer.”
Heathcote resident Carol Foster was full of praise for the event.
“What a great morning we had,” she said. “The coffee was delicious.
“Thank you, Sergeant Holly and the amazing team, detectives from Special Units Bendigo, Ambos, the Flying Doctors service, our new councillor Aaron Spong and everyone who attended.”
