COMEDIAN Damian Callinan will perform a night of comedy and storytelling at Heathcote RSL Hall next month.
Hall Stories is a celebration of the quirks, traditions and characters of Australian halls and meeting places.
Maree Hingston, advocate for Engine Room Productions which brings performances to small towns across the region, said the show is sure to bring lots of laughs.
“Productions such as this one are made possible by Regional Arts Victoria and the City of Greater Bendigo,” Ms Hingston said.
“Damian is a well-known actor. He is also a very entertaining storyteller and comedian.
“Having seen him perform a number of times at Heathcote RSL, I can highly recommend his shows. His relaxed, casual style and his interaction with the audience is great.
“Damian’s performances are shaped for each hall he performs in with a focus on the history and characters of each venue he visits.
“I am sure everyone will enjoy what he has to say about our RSL hall.”
The Heathcote session will be held on Wednesday 30 April, with sessions at Pyramid Hill Memorial Hall on 29 April and Elmore Memorial Hall on 3 May. All performances start at 8pm. Tickets are $10 and are available through gotix.com.au, or cash will be accepted at the door.
A wine tasting hosted by Evan Pritchard and Three Dams Estate will precede the Heathcote session.
