A New Chapter for Wills Street Eyecare
AFTER more than thirty-four years caring for the eyes of Bendigo families, Mark Letts has retired from Wills Street Eyecare.
For many locals, Mark has been their trusted optometrist for decades, watching children grow into adults, caring for multiple generations, and providing exceptional eye care with a personal touch.
As Mark sets off on his retirement adventures, exploring Australia’s outback with partner Nicci and their beloved beagles, the practice he helped build continues in excellent hands.
Rose Larosa and Kirily Bowen are now co-owners of Wills Street Eyecare, and they’re excited to welcome patients both existing and new.

Kirily has been with the practice since 2000 and a partner for eighteen years. She maintains a focus on complex ocular disease, children’s eye care, and vision neuro-rehabilitation.
Rose has been caring for patients since 2021, with a clinical interest in ocular disease and dry eye management, emergency eye care, and children’s eye care including myopia control. Together, they run an established vision therapy clinic within the practice.
Two more fantastic optometrists have joined the team to ensure every patient continues to receive the same attentive care. Ava Ward is a familiar face – she’s a Bendigo local who completed an internship at Wills Street Eyecare and has now returned home. Ava has a clinical interest in contact lenses, children’s eye care, myopia control and emergency eye care.
Joshua Vettiger brings substantial regional experience and a family history that sparked his passion for detecting and managing conditions like glaucoma early, when treatment is most effective.

Joshua has clinical interests in emergency eye care, ocular disease management, therapeutic optometry, and preventative eye care.
The practice remains committed to providing the same trusted standard of care that patients have come to expect.
Wills Street Eyecare also offers a large range of fashion spectacle frames, sunglasses and safety frames, paired with advanced technology lenses from Zeiss, CR Labs, Maui Jim and Bollé.
They are one of few outlets with access to specialised Avulux migraine lenses and custom-designed lenses and tints to suit more complex prescriptions.
