THE Parents, Friends and Carers Committee at Holy Rosary Primary School is inviting families, individuals and businesses to purchase a paver for the Rosary Garden Project.
Pavers will form the border of the garden’s pathway.
“The Rosary Garden will be a quiet place for spiritual reflection,” said committee member Tess Holmes.
“It will be located around the existing circular rose garden in front of the O’Dee Building at the corner of Pohlman and Ebden Steets.
“The site offers a view of St Mary’s Help of Christians Church, deepening the spiritual experience for those walking the path.
“The Rosary Garden will be designed as a walking path symbolising the traditional rosary bead necklace with a paver representing each bead.”
Pavers are available for $50 and can be engraved with a family name or individual first and last name.
The O’Dee Building will be one hundred years old in November next year and the community are invited to join the celebrations.
“We are inviting anyone who has a connection with the school over a range of time frames, to participate,” said principal Jen Roberts.
“Although we are the current stewards of the school, there are many who came before us.
“We would love to hear from anyone who has memorabilia, including uniforms, photos and other items to reach out to us.”
Anyone who would like to purchase a paver or has memorabilia can contact the office at [email protected] or 5433 2057.
Orders for pavers need to be placed by 21 November.
