THE recent Heathcote Community Black Tie Ball was a chance for district residents to frock up and put on their dancing shoes.

Heathcote RSL Sub Branch vice president Miles Humphrey said the night had been an outstanding success with about 80 guests enjoying a three-course meal and music from the Australian Army Band.

“The dance floor was full through most of the evening as we were treated to a range of musical styles that had everyone up and about,” he said.

“The hall was dressed in full splendour and the night went without a hitch.

“This was thanks to the tireless efforts of our volunteers to provide a community event Heathcote can be proud of and look forward to each year.

“Guests came from around the region to be treated to a great night of dining, dancing and socialising.

“We look forward to running the event again in 2024.”

District residents put on their glad rags for a welcome night out.
