REGISTRATIONS for stallholders at the annual Australian Plants Society Heathcote Flower Show and Plant Sale are now open.
The event will be held on Saturday 18 April and community groups and individuals are all encouraged to apply.
“This is the fourth expo we have held,” society secretary Tania Biagioni said.
“Each year it just keeps getting bigger and better, drawing visitors from all over Victoria.
“We expect to showcase quality native plant sellers, stunning garden art, and a wonderful mix of local painters and writers again.
“Last year we welcomed many different groups and individuals from our wonderful community and we are looking forward to seeing them again as well as some new faces.

“We are blessed to live in a community where there are so many varied interest groups who all support each other.
“This year is shaping up to be an absolute blast.”
All proceeds raised from the event will go towards the Heathcote Native Gardens Project.
Australian Plants Society Heathcote is a non-profit, incorporated community organisation.
It is dedicated to growing Australian native plants, conserving native plants, and promoting and disseminating general knowledge of Australian plants.
“Meetings are friendly and informal,” Ms Biagioni said.
“We all enjoy promoting the growing of Australian native plants.
“Whether your garden is big or small, we want people to know you don’t have to be a slave to your garden.
“There are lots of smart ways to enhance the local conditions; we can all learn from each other.”
The group meets on the second Tuesday each month at 7pm, at the Senior Citizens’ Hall at 121 High Street in Heathcote.
Meetings include guest speakers and light refreshments.
Anyone interested in having a stall at the flower show and plant sale or joining the society can call Ms Biagioni on 0425 707 606.
