COMMUNITY Bank Heathcote and District is calling for members of the community to join their board.
Volunteer board members have a say about the future direct of the branches and where profits will be spent in the community through sponsorships and grants.
“As a volunteer board member of Heathcote and District Financial Services Limited, members take an active role in spreading the word about the impact that banking with our branches has for our community,” said marketing and local engagement manager Charleen Warburton.
“Often Board members may have historical expertise in different industries allowing the board to have a wide business knowledge base, however this is not vital.
“More importantly, we seek board members that have a knowledge of the communities in which we operate, namely Heathcote, Nagambie and their surrounds.
“We always wish to get to know our communities and understand what their needs are.
“This can assist us with the decision making around grant and sponsorship applications which are the ways we reinvest profits back into the community.
“Board members are required to attend monthly board meetings and encouraged to attend community events or meet with grant and sponsorship recipients.”
