Christmas favourite returns

THE jolly man in the red suit is preparing for his annual lolly run on the CFA fire truck tonight, Friday 20 December.

Santa will start his run at Victoria Hill Road at 7pm.

“From there he will travel along Hospital Street to Jennings Street,” CFA secretary Laraine Leask said.

“He will turn onto High Street at Gaffney’s Bakery and come back up Herriot Street.

“The next turn will be down Ebden Street and he’ll go all the way to Mitchell Street.

“From there he’ll come back down Playne Street to Herriot Street.

“Next, he’ll go past the fire station and down Wright Street to Shakespeare Street.

“His final leg will be up to Skullys Lane and the golf course where everyone can say goodbye before he heads home to the North Pole.”

And Santa has a message for the children: “Please be very careful near roads and Santa’s stops,” he is asking.
