Christmas fundraiser for animal rescue
COUNTRY/BLUEGRASS band the Gami Gami Devils will return to Palling Bros Brewery on 14 December for a Christmas gig to raise funds for Loki’s Lodge.
Last year’s event raised more than $1700 towards feed and care of rescued animals.
Loki’s Lodge was started by Danielle Press eight years ago to rescue and rehome rural animals in need.
“We are delighted to be joining the Gami Gami Devils and Palling Brothers again this year for our Christmas fundraiser,” said Ms Press.
“We are looking forward to another fabulous afternoon of music and festivities.
“This year Loki’s Lodge has continued to be busy rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming animals with more than 100 animals rehomed into forever homes.
“We can only do that work with the support of our wonderful community.”
This year, the Gami Gami Devils will be joined by Billy Cart Crash, an originals rockabilly band.
“During the evening our partners will rattle tins, and Danielle will have some merchandise and a display table,” said Mark Cooper aka Hotrod Gami.
“Locals were very generous with donations for raffles last year.
“If anyone would like to donate prizes, they can be left with Peter Pichut at Palling Bros.”
The rest of the group comprises of Babyface Gami, Kenny Daring Gami, Outlaw Harri Gami, Captain Jack Irish Gami and CDub Gami.
“We believe we are the best toe tapping, thigh slapping, jaw aching, booty shaking cowboy band north of the Darebin Creek,” said Cooper.
“We hope everyone will join us for an evening of great music, singing and dancing and help out a great cause.”
