RESIDENTS at Heathcote Health Aged Care facility joined with participants from the social support group for a special Christmas celebration.
The two groups meet up once a month and enjoyed getting together for the Christmas festivities.
“We had a great concert with music from Raydar and Santa came for a visit,” Rae Thallis from the Social Support group said.
“Everyone enjoyed catching up and we had a lovely afternoon tea.

“It has been a great year for the social support group, and the participants have enjoyed the program.
“We visited the Great Stupa, enjoyed Morning Melodies and went on several shopping trips.”
Community Clinical Care coordinator Phil Goggin said the group would welcome more volunteers to assist with activities and social support.
“We also do yoga once a week and anyone aged over 65 and on a My Aged Care package is welcome to join us,” he said.

Residents in the aged care facility enjoy a variety of activities each week facilitated by aged care leisure and lifestyle coordinator Karra King.
“We have outings for those who are able and daily activities designed to stimulate and entertain,” she said.
“Events like our Christmas celebration and joining up with the social support group are really good for community engagement and connections,” she said.
