HEATHCOTE Cars, Coffee and Bikes celebrated its first birthday last Sunday with sunny skies and a wide variety of cars and bikes.

The event was the inspiration of Kylie Ryan who had been to similar events and thought it would be good for Heathcote.

“I knew it would be a great chance for people to get together after tough COVID times and good for people’s mental health,” she said.

Creator and founder Kylie Ryan, with Joshua, Jessica-Grace, and John Ryan, thanked everyone who has supported Cars, Coffee and Bikes over the past twelve months.

“Not just car and bike enthusiasts but also business owners and the general public.

“We had a really good turn-out for our first event and it has continued to grow every month since then.

“A lot of locals attend, with their vehicles or just to look at other cars and bikes, and some people travel from much further afield.

“Every month I am blown away by how many people turn up in support. Everyone is always friendly and happy to chat; it’s a wonderful vibe.

Fellow car enthusiasts couldn’t resist a peek under the bonnet of David Barkby’s HD olden.

“We get such a wide variety of vehicles and bikes. It’s awesome.

“Over the past year I have met so many amazing people and have heard such great stories about their cars and bikes.

“I thank everyone who has shared a part of their lives with me, and I am looking forward to another amazing year.”

Heathcote Cars, Coffee and Bikes is held on the second Sunday of each month from 9am to 12 noon.
