HEATHCOTE & District Financial Services are looking for new directors after the recent resignations of two board members.

HDFS is a franchisee of Bendigo Bank and operates the Heathcote & District and Bendigo Bank Nagambie community banks.

Both Vicki Carolan and recent chairperson Stephen Trompp are stepping down from their roles.

Ms Carolan has been a director since early 2022 and Mr Trompp has served for the past eight years.

Incoming chairperson Natalie Sheridan-Smith encouraged locals to take up the opportunity to become involved in the future direction of the bank branches.

“As a newer member of the Heathcote community it has been really rewarding to meet with local organisations, to understand how important they are to the fabric of our community and to be able to use our profits support the wonderful work that these community organisations do in the Heathcote and Nagambie communities,” she said.

HDFS’ profits are returned each year to the Heathcote and Nagambie communities through a number of different grant and scholarship programs.

Expressions of interest are now being accepted for the position of volunteer director for the bank’s board.

Applicants should be motivated, well organised, self-directed and community orientated.
