HEATHCOTE RSL Sub-Branch will host a Biggest Morning Tea event to raise funds for the Cancer Council on Sunday 19 May.

It will be held at the RSL hall starting at 11am.

“It will be a family friendly event,” said Lyn Hough.

“There will be a Kids’ Corner with games and activities for children so parents can come along and enjoy the day.

“Both the CWA day and night groups will be there to help on the day and will also provide lots of delicious cakes and slices.

“Any other community groups who would like to join us would be very welcome.

“Local businesses have been generous once again and have provided prizes for the silent auction and raffles.

“We are very grateful and hope to raise even more that the $2000 we raised last year.”

Celebrating 30 years, the Biggest Morning Tea is an Australia-wide event, held annually.

Every dollar raised helps to support those impacted by cancer.

The entry fee is $10 per person.

“For groups of five people or more, booking is recommended to ensure you are seated as a group,” said Ms Hough.

Bookings can be made by calling or texting Ms Hough on 0409 767 582.
