THE Living Arts Space is offering arts and crafts workshops during the school holidays.

Children aged six to 12 can participate in creating art inspired by the gallery’s latest exhibition PICNIC.

On Tuesday 16 January, children can make or decorate their own set of picnic party decorations such as bunting and cups, plates, and placemats for a future picnic.

The following Tuesday, attendees can decorate their own t-shirts with fabric paint stamping and fabric crayons.

Castlemaine-based multimedia artist, Katie Jacobs, who has a Master of Teaching and years of experience running creative workshops is leading the events.

Each workshop cost $10 per child and all materials are provided.

The workshops are split into two age categories, for children aged six to eight, and for those aged nine to 12.

The Living Arts Space is located within the Bendigo Visitor Centre on Pall Mall.

According the Bendigo Venues & Events, the current exhibition PICNIC “invites you to soak up the colour, warmth, and mirth of the summer season” and includes painted works as well as ceramics, jewellery, and textiles.
