Family friendly fun returns to reserve
AFTER three years of cancellations, a wine and music event Vibes & Vino will return to Barrack Reserve Oval at Heathcote on Saturday, 4 November.
Gates will open at 2pm with live music kicking off at 2.45pm
“We last held this event in 2019 and although it was a very wet day it was enjoyed by many,” said Tim Oudenryn from Heathcote Tourism and Development.
“In 2020 and 2021 it was cancelled due to COVID-19 and again in 2022 following the terrible flooding event.”
Vibes & Vino aims to be a family friendly event with live music, an array of local wine, beer and spirits, as well food trucks, market stalls and children’s entertainment on offer.
“We will be aiming for 1500 to 2000 people,” said Mr Oudenryn.
“We have a great lineup of music that will attract visitors from Melbourne and surrounding regional areas. Benny Walker and band will headline the evening.”
Benny Walker was born in Echuca and inherited his passion for music from his father and grandfathers, who were also musicians.
He performs a blend of soul, reggae, blues and acoustic folk.
Other artists will include Gabriella Cohen, Bella Deer and Chris Cavill.
“There will be a strict no glass policy in the precinct,” said Mr Oudenryn. “Plastic glasses will be available for beverage sales.
“We will provide some hay bales for seating and visitors can feel free to bring their own chairs and shade.
“This will be a dog friendly event but we ask that owners keep their pets on a lead at all times.”
Admission is $10 per adult with kids under 18 free.
