Fireworks to send 2023 out with a bang
NEW year’s eve wouldn’t be the same without fireworks and this year the display is sure to sparkle.
As usual, Bendigo’s fireworks will erupt from the Rosalind Park Poppet Head, with Queen Elizabeth Oval one of the best place to view the extravaganza.
To cater to as many people as possible in the community the City of Greater Bendigo has planned two displays, with the first scheduled at 9.15pm and aimed at being a family friendly event.
There will be a second display for people who want to celebrate the New Year at the stroke of midnight.
A municipal spokesperson said their fireworks display is always a vibrant event.
“The community loves seeing the sky light up with colour at night from the Rosalind Park Poppet Head,” the spokesperson said.
The New Year’s fireworks events are alcohol and pet free as they are part of the City’s Summer in the Parks program.
Highlights of the wider Summer in the Parks series include an outdoor cinema being held at different locations around Bendigo and daily music in Hargraves Mall that runs from 4 of January to 24 of February.
The New Year Eve fireworks can be viewed at 9.15 and midnight on 31 December from Queen Elizabeth Oval.
