AUSTRALIAN Plant Society Heathcote will be running a photography competition in conjunction with the annual Flower Show and Plant Sale this year.
Photos must be of Australian native flowers only but can include bugs or birds, as long as the flower is the main subject.
Photographs need to be printed at 20 by 30 centimetres, mounted on black card with a three centimetre border on all sides.
Name and contact details of the photographer should be securely attached to the back of each photo and include the name of the flower, if known.
Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third with entries encouraged from all ages and skill levels.
All photos entered must be the entrant’s own work.
“This is our fourth Expo, and each year it just keeps getting bigger and better, drawing visitors from all over Victoria,” said Australian Plant Society secretary Tania Biagioni.
“Visitors can expect quality native plant sellers, stunning garden art, and a wonderful mix of local painters and writers.
“We are also welcoming both Heathcote primary schools displaying their fabulous creations.
“This year is shaping up to be an absolute blast.
“If anyone is interested in having a stall, or would like further information, please ring me on 0425 707 606”.
The Flower Show and Plant sale will be held at Barrack Reserve Hall on Saturday 18 April, from 9am to 3pm.
