Free cinema in the park a popular attraction

ABOUT two hundred Heathcote residents enjoyed a pop-up cinema experience at Barrack Reserve last Friday.

The event was part of the City of Greater Bendigo and Agnico Eagle Fosterville’s Summer in the Parks series, which saw free movie screenings across the region.

Families enjoyed picnics and snacks while watching Migration, an animated story about a family of ducks.

“It was great to see so many people attending,” participant Steph O’Brien said.

“There were lots of laughs and everyone enjoyed the movie.

“The kids played with their friends and the adults relaxed in the shade of Barrack Stadium.

“I look forward to more events like this. It is a great way to bring the community together.”
