Get ready to giggle and have a hoot!

ENTERTAINER Jimmy Rees, who became well known for his role as Jimmy Giggle on ABC Kids’ Giggle and Hoot, will be undertaking his first regional tour starting early next year. 

The Let’s Get Regional tour will tour 17 regional centres, including the Ulumbarra Theatre in Bendigo on Saturday 17 February. 

The shows comes off the back of his Not That Kinda Viral gig which visited big cities this year, and his Meanwhile in Australia show that hit the road in 2022. 

“Regional Australia, I’m coming for you,” said Rees. 

“After touring metro cities over the last few years, I couldn’t be more pumped to be bringing a new live show to many local towns around the country where some I’m visiting and performing for the very first time! Let’s Get Regional!… shut up Jason!” 

During the pandemic, Rees expanded his reach and fanbase with short videos on social media platforms like TikTok and YouTube. 

Some viral skits Rees is known for include The Guy Who Decides, POV: You’re from…, Brighton Ladies, Meanwhile in Australia, and the Jason videos. 

Before he was an internet sensation Rees played the titular Jimmy Giggle on ABC Kids’ Giggle and Hoot, which ran for 11 years from 2009 to 2020. 

Rees is originally from Frankston and is now back living in Victora on the Mornington Peninsula after residing on the Central Coast of New South Wales for what was ABC4Kids’ flagship show.
