FREE music and entertainment for all will be a feature at this year’s Heathcote Harvest Festival.

The event will be held at Barrack Reserve at Heathcote on Sunday 10 March from 4pm.

“We were very encouraged by attendance last year which was estimated at 1500,” said India Munari from Munari Wines.

“We expect the same this year although events are very competitive at the moment and it’s hard to predict.”

The festival was officially launched in 2022 after the success of a previous event called The Heathcote Community Festival in 2021.

“Each year it has grown bigger,” said Ms Munari. “This is a free event with live music, lawn games and face painting, so we hope to capture lots of locals and families.

“We want guests to treat this like a festival and relax into the afternoon.

“Opening the music will be local blues singer, Miss May, followed by the John Flanagan Duo with alternative country music.

“It will conclude with the talented, high energy, Melbourne band PLAYLUNCH.”

The festival is a not a BYO event and visitors are required to purchase a reusable poly-carbonate glass to purchase drinks from vendors.

“This is part of our commitment to removing single use plastics from the event,” said Ms Munari.

“As it is a free event, producers will not be supplying tastings of their products but we will have an extensive range of local wines, craft beer and spirits to purchase.

“We love this time of year when the vines are green and the days are hot.

“Heathcote Harvest Festival celebrates our local artisan producers and is a prelude to the grape harvest.”
