It’s baa-rilliant! Sheep stud continues winning streak

COSTERFIELD’S Koole Vale Merino & Poll Merino Stud built on their recent state-based triumphs at last weekend’s National Sheep and Wool Show in Bendigo.

Owner Alan Harris said they scored a win with a champion March shorn fine medium ewe.

“It was a great show,” he said. “From a genetic point of view, it was an opportunity to have a look at what’s around in the marketplace and what we could use to improve our stud.”

The next generation at Koole Vale is also making their mark on the industry with Mr Harris’s daughter Ava, 16, coming second in the state final of the junior judging after taking out first place at the Wimmera Autumn Merino Sheep Show in March.
