AFTER another successful year of activities, outings and group meetings, U3A Heathcote celebrated Christmas this week with a special morning tea.
Writing group members entertained the attendees with a selection of their stories while president Nancy Miller read out some interesting facts associated with Christmas.
“We have had a very successful year,” said Ms Miller.
“Included in our activities were the gardening group, creative writing, singing, book club, lunches, Move It Or Lose It exercises, Margaret’s Movies and our monthly morning teas.
“The convenors have all reported good attendance with everyone enjoying what’s on offer and we have booked all those activities again for next year.
“Of course, if anyone has another activity, they would like to see included we would be happy to try and include it, especially if there is someone willing to put their hand up to convene it.

“I am looking forward to seeing some new faces in 2026, enjoying some new activities and learning, laughing and living as per our motto.”
Enrolment Day for 2026 will be held at the Guide Hall on 8 January commencing at 10am.
Membership fees are set at $50 per person and $80 per couple.
The Annual General Meeting will be conducted on 5 February 2026 and there will be a guest speaker from Network Victoria.
“There will be vacancies on the committee, and I hope there will be some new people who would like to give one of these roles a go,” said Ms Miller.
“It is not a huge commitment but one which is necessary to ensure the smooth running of Heathcote U3A.
“And, of course, there is always plenty of help and support from other members.”
