HEATHCOTE residents will have another chance to meet with members of the local police force this month.
Coffee with a Cop is a popular initiative that began in the US and is now implemented across Australia.
The events give local residents a chance to get to know members of their local police force and bring up any concerns they have.
“Police are looking forward to connecting with the community in a relaxed and positive setting,” said Sergeant Holly Lembke of Heathcote Police.
“We will be interested to know about local issues.
“Making the community feel safe is a high priority, so if we know what the issues are we can focus on resolving them.
“Or residents can just come down and have a free coffee, say ‘hi’ and pose for a photo.”
Coffee with a Cop will be held at Segafredo’s Bakery, 95A High Street, on Tuesday 18 February from 10.30am to 12pm.
