Members wanted for aging input
CITY of Greater Bendigo staff are inviting older adults to join the municipal Positive Ageing Advisory Committee.
The group provides feedback and advice on matters concerning positive ageing in the City.
The committee also plays a role in representing the interests and concerns of older adults and integrating identified needs into plans and developments.
Community partnerships manager for the City, Andie West, said the PAAC is seeking six people aged 50 and over who are passionate about supporting health and well-being in the more mature population and actively involved with older members of the community.
“This is an opportunity for older local residents to contribute to positive ageing initiatives in Greater Bendigo,” said Ms West.
“Members will need to demonstrate their ability to represent the views and needs of older adults at regular committee meetings and contribute to positive ageing in the community.”
Committee positions will be held for two years, and the group will convene about six times a year.
Interested individuals can submit an expression of interest via the City’s website at until Tuesday 20 June.
Those who would prefer to write a letter of application can request a form on 1300 002 642 or email [email protected].
