THE Central Victorian Motocross Club will hold its next race on Saturday 26 July at Ayletts Road, Toolleen.
Entries can be made before the event through the Ridernet App.
“For those interested in making a weekend of it Bendigo Motorcyle Club are holding their Motorcross Race Meet at Ravenswood the following day, Sunday 27 July,” club secretary Leanne Kellett said.
“It would be great if everyone could get behind the two clubs and make a weekend of fun motocross racing.
“There are only two clubs in the Bendigo area and it’s fantastic to receive all the support we can get.
“The club caters for anyone who likes to ride dirt bikes, both junior and senior riders.”
The Central Victorian Toolleen Motorcross Club was started in the late 1970s by the McRoberts family.
“They subdivided off 40 acres of their farming land and donated it to the Central Victorian Motorcross Club,” Ms Kellett said.
“We have three club race meets a year along with numerous practice days.

“We also hold a joint race meet with the Bendigo Motorcycle Club called the Toolleen/Ravo Cup.
“Over the years the Victorian State Titles have also been held here, and we are affiliated with Motorcycling Victoria.”
Ms Kellett said the club would not survive without great support from local businesses.
“We are very fortunate to have received some fantastic help…this year,” she said.
“They include Heidelberg Materials, Golden City Concrete Pumping, APL Concreting and Winslow Constructions, who helped our club by concreting our start gate area.
“Yearly sponsorships from Abbott Supply and Mandalay Resources have also been a fantastic support.
“It takes a lot of support to run these events and club.”
