PYALONG Netball Club has been scoring goals in more ways than one.

A Tiny Towns Fund Grant of $11,411 has enabled the club to purchase and install four new tiered spectator seats at the courts.

“Since the new courts were installed in April 2023, we have slowly been ticking off some of our wish list with player/scorer shelters being installed in April 2024,” said club secretary Charleen Warburton.

“Now we finally have the additional spectator seating we were hoping for.

“Our final wish list item is electronic scoreboards.

“The seating means we now have up to 100 extra seats for spectators at our two courts and ensures we have lots of space for everyone attending Pyalong for the finals this year.”

Pyalong Netball Club committee members assembled the new seating purchased with a Tiny Towns Fund Grant ahead of the finals later this month.

The club is part of the Kilmore Broadford Netball Association.

“KBNA is a junior netball association offering mixed Netball for 9 and under, 11 and under, 13 and under, 15 and under and 17 and under,” Ms Warburton said.

“Our last round is tomorrow followed by a round robin for the 9 and under teams on 17 August.

“Then semi-final on 24 August, preliminary final 31 August and grand final on 7 September.”

With new court facilities and seating, the club is keen to host a final for the first time.

“We are all looking forward to it,” said Ms Warburton.
