Preps mark 100 days of learning
HEATHCOTE’S youngest students have just celebrated one hundred days of schooling.
At Heathcote Primary, the preps reflected on what they loved doing most.
“We get to do free play,” said pupil Pippa said. While classmate Sammy had several favourite activities.
“I like being in the playground, free play and maths,” he said.
Aldane picked cutting and pasting as something he really enjoyed.
Their teacher, Kym Childs, said it was rewarding to see how much the young leaners had progressed since the start of the year.
“They’ve really grown in all learning areas,” she said. “Things like their fine motor skills have developed too.”
Holy Rosary preps were quick to nominate their top picks as well.
“I like writing, playing in the playground, and sport,” said prep student Clancy.
For fellow pupil Ted it was PE, writing and playing outside, while another young leaner, Eva, chose writing, sport, and art.
Holy Rosary teacher Prue Harris echoed similar sentiments to her Heathcote Primary counterpart.
“The best part is just getting to know the families and watching the students grow and learn,” she said.
